Lovely image, John. You must be happy with that new lens! Lovely sharpness and plumage detail. DOF spot on. Would usually suggest cropping a bit bit from the bottom to decentre the bird but in this case I think the centred bird works well . Lovely colour palette. Well done.

A beautiful, clean image, John. I like the resting-in-a-little-beach-depression look. For me, it works as presented, though a little off the bottom might be even better. Well done.

Way to get down at the birds level. This gives the impression of someone stalking up and just cresting the dune in foregroung and comming eye-to-eye with an unexpecting bird. Image says alot. Well done.
