Here's a look down the business end of a good sized alligator. The head on this guy is huge. It's so long that sharpness over the full length wasn't possible without causing the rest of the image to be sharp (which I didn't want). BTW- I'm not sure that even at 300mm shooting this was a good idea. "Gators" move pretty quickly...

I like it a lot Michael ..... would have used a much shorter lens for greater dof :D

The open mouth is excellent Also particularly like the colors Fine image Big Congrats !!!

Cool, that 300 wouldn't have had enough reach for me:) Love the inside of the mouth as well really neat image! Agree with Alfred on the DOF

The inside of the mouth is great - and those teeth !!!!! However, I think the eye is equally interesting. the small catchlight certainly shows he was looking right at you!

Nice shot!

I might have met that guy...on one of my many bike rides through that park 5 years ago through that park when I lived in Houston!!!
