nice denise! almost too big in the frame for me. looking at the techs i might raise the ISO to get some more shutter speed. i think it would be a little sharper if the shutter speed was faster. you sure nailed the HA!!!!

Lady Denise,
I like the close up pose. the head angle and eye contact are dead on. Agree with Doctor Davis on the shutter speed. You do have good color rendition, and the pale soft background compliments your subject well. My suggestion is to touch up the eye and surrounding area with a dab of selective sharpening...just a tad about two passes of 2% intensity. Also, crop from the bottom about half of the brown floor...good show...I like it...:cool:

Hi Denise

It looks pretty sharp to me (maybe a tad more USM around the eye wouldn't go amiss but just a tad) and I am fine with the size of the bird in the frame.

I'd maybe tone down the brightness a touch and boost the saturation slghtly. But, it's a really nice shot anyway.

Thanks everyone for your opinion- I'm not an overly sharp person-I tend to like things more natural-I have to get use to sharpening more-Thanks for your input,much appreciated!

denise, do you sharpen for web? i do just a very slight sharpening of my jpegs just before posting. this is above and beyond what i did to the RAW. when i say slight i mean like ~15-0-0

It is a good image Denise. Would like more room since it is tight Sharpness wise the narrow dof is playing tricks here, I think we some how expect a little more but that is all we get. Focusing on the eye is all we can do !!!
