Wich is the best place to go for creating pleasing images of the african penguin?
I will stay one hour north-west from Capetown; so Boulders Beach is not too far. But is there a better place?

Thank you for answering...

In my experience Boulders is the only place to go with any degree of certainty. Try and make it early or the light is harsh unless you have an overcast day.

Hi
Have you notice about pengiuns in Robbern Island ?
Is it better to take photos?
How is the situation now in Boulders (I went there ten years ago) : Is possible to take photo no far ?
Thanks

Hi Giova. I have no experience regarding penguins at Robben Island. Boulders still gives you very good access - I was there just over a year ago and Rosl posted from pics from there in December 2008. My concern with Robben Island would be that you are tied to the tour and ferry times and I suspect limited in the time and freedom required to photograph the birds. Boulders is definitely the place to go. You can get much closer and the light can be great in the afternoons

Boulders is a great place for Penguins ... you can get very close. Go when the light is best, i.e. avoid mid-day, but rather go before 10am or after 3.00pm, give or take.
