Taken last summer after we visited Walden Pond where we saw ruins of Henry David Thoreau's cabin.

He was right off the public parking area in Concord Center, MA. (the bird that is)

Got closer and closer, taking shots after each few steps.

He was tolerant of that, even generous enough to land on this nice red sprig.

A nice ending to our day.

C and C welcome.

Thanks!

Sharp, good exposure, nicely designed. The sky peeking through in the lower 1/2 draws the viwer's eye from the subject. The light doughnut just off the bird's shoulder is the biggest distraction. Best to try for even toned BKGRs.

later and love, artie

Very nice composition and a good exposure. Background could be improved somewhat by careful PS work to get rid of the light circle and tone down the whtie sky area. You could also clone out the little piece of leaf at the left corner and the bottom piece of leaf on the lower right.

I also liked his portrait-posed kind of gaze in this one out of the bunch I got, but wow, you've made me see things that I didn't see before. The lens turned that little bit of light shining through the trees into a perfect circle donut/halo next to the bird. (2 of em actually)

And the leaves sticking up at the bottom are taking away from it.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I appreciate it. :-)
