You just got the tail in and the exposure looks good. Another plus: though the bird is angled away the head is turned back towards you. The light is harsh and the side of the bird is much sharped than the head...

Hi Larry -

I noticed your thumbnail right away because I was photographing these birds yesterday. Very nice head angle and pose and I like being able to see the leg in that clear water. Getting down lower for a better angle would have been good if it had been possible and the tail is just a little too close to the edgo of the frame.

hi Larry, good critique you got above, I also feel that a little more room for the tail would have been great.
