Hi - Australia only has 1 species of Buzzard - The Black Buzzard, critically endangered and endemic to Australia. Possibly don't breed at all in times of drought (Geez - we have had 13 years of drought in lots of regions).
Somtimes hit by cars as they feast on roadkill.

This fellow is a captive - guess you would have to be very lucky to see one in the wild these days.

Very close to full frame - sharpened a tad. Could possibly crop some from the bottom!!

Comments welcome.

Well done Lance,
I like the sharp details and color rendition on the bird . good head angle and eye contact. I like the expression and the prominent eye...good show...

Beautiful Colours and complimenting BG. I think I would crop from the bottom a bit because to me the chest area is competing with the face. Nice and sharp Lance!

Good looking bird and thanks for the bg info !!! Sure wish the best for them.

Don't know what they actually look like in person so its tough to judge, would reduce saturation a bit? Excellent !!!
