I was heading to Bosque at 5am and had two flat tires by the welcome sign about a mile away from the crane ponds and sat there till nine am before I got any help. Two flats, one spare not a good combo, but shot this just as the sun came up.

The fuzzy pattern in the sky is interesting.
But I feel there's something odd about the processing. Some patches of grains/noise scattered around the frame.
Also the colour saturation looks a bit too aggressive.
Not sure if its just my monitor ; would wait for experts to pitch in...

Hey Dennis,
Kaushik has made some valid points.......does look like there is quite a bit of noise and color shift. I would crop some off the base black.........just below the reddish area on the left. Not sure if it HDR was the culprit here.........as I haven't done them yet.........will see if Robert can add some input.

NM is a great place for spectacular sunrises and sunsets this time of year - actually for most of the year.

I don't think the HDR is helping you here. I would choose to one exposure you did that captures the sky well and let the ground go black. The crop is a good idea. Take a majority of the black out.

I like the composition with the trees on the right.
