I have not posted many images on this forum but hope to change that so here is one of a red-headed duck that I often see at a local pond. I have cropped a little water off of the left, top and right.
Body: Canon 1DMKIII
Lens: 500mm f4 IS
Aperture:f/7.1
Shutter: 1/1000s
ISO: 320
C&C always welcomed and appreciated.

Lovely colours and amazing eye, Jason.Stands out well against the blue. Maybe some CCW rotation?

Beautiful bird, good details and exposure control. I agree regarding CCW rotation. Do you have the full reflection of the head? Keep them coming!

That head and eye stand out so well in this. Well captured Jason.

Thank you all for your comments and suggestions. I will try the CCW rotation. I can see how that would improve the orientation of the duck in the frame.
Axel, Unfortunately I did crop the reflection as shown, no head reflection in this image. :(
Thanks again,
Jason

Exposure, detail/sharpness and saturation make this a beautiful portrait. Ideally I would have liked more of the reflection, but lovely none the less.
