Gorgeous flight Capture Jody and wonderful wing spread as well as beautiful eye contact. The only thing I would do is a little CW rotation as the horizon looks slightly off. Otherwise a magnificent image. Love it !!

It isn't so much of a layered BG IMO. The background shows the environment in this particular shot, just enough to give a feel of the surroundings but nog enough to take away attention from the bird. At least from my point of view. Lovely shot!
