Looks like a Cooper's Hawk to me.

Also looks like a Cooper's to me. Harrier has a white patch at base of tail and a distinctive ring around the base of the head. Great action shot though with the big wing extension and all the water droplets.

Agree with Cooper's, and agree it's a great shot! Nice light on the bird, given that dark background, and that soggy look is certainly unique.

Thanks to all for your feedback. Yes, the hawk had just taken a bath and then took off.
