I'm in Socorro, NM until 11/22, so I'm posting a Bosque shot instead of an image from my recent trip to Australia. I'll post more Australia bird images when I return home to Florida.

Bosque Del Apache NWR, NM - 1D3, 500mm+1.4xTC, hand held, manual exposure

Beautifull! Light, backside view, pose, loose crop, all IMO is excellent! Congratulations!

Very nice capture. Are there still 3 females in the ponds?

Could you please include the shooting data for the members benefit? :)

Have a great time, we'll miss Bosque this year :(

Cool pose and eye contact. On my monitor it looks as if there is a slight S/H halo around the bird.

Super pose. I also see slight halo around the bird.

Agreed about the halo, but given that I can't get within 1/2 a mile of a harrier around here, I'd kill for this.

Lovely angle of flight, and love the eye contact Jim. Well captured.
