This is a picture of a Gaur in rain in Tadoba Tiger Reserve, India. Gaur is often mistakenly called as the Indian bison.

Equipment used: Canon EOS 1D Mark II, Canon EF 28-135 mm IS lens at 130mm, ISO 640, f5.6, 1/80 second, from a jeep in pouring rain.

Would appreciate if anyone can give me tips on shooting animals in rain.

I'll say it was raining. It's always interesting to see wildlife photography in less than ideal conditions. The rain adds some visual interest. Looks like a little PP work might liven the image up a bit. It looks like you could use a little CW rotation on this image. I also think you should crop some of the FG. The animal seems a bit awkward due the the dissapereance of the front leg in the vegeatation.
