Photographed two weeks ago, this Dunlin spent 99% of its' time in the water. When it momentarily stepped out of the water it went straight for the rock I had been praying for it to go onto. I was lucky when it looked back at me for a second before stepping off. Check out the crossed feet from the walking motion:)

Canon 40D + 100-400L @400mm, aperture priority, eval metering, 1/1250s., f/7.1, ISO 400, no EC, handheld, ~75% full frame.

I like the light, angle and look-back pose in this one.

It's a great pose, and nice that you were able to get so much DOF.

This is really sharp showing great feather detail Daniel. Perfect comp and pose too. Well captured.
