Another from the other day at Mill Pond in Seaford. The males are tough to expose with the whites and blacks. This was in AP at minus 2/3. Any more would have killed the black detail altogether.
Any suggestions would be great.
320 ISO f5.6 at 1/1000th

Cool pose, details and angle. I think it needs some CCW rotation and maybe you could get some more details in the blacks using curves.

Agree about the exposure nightmare, but the whites look hot to me. I'd look for some softer light when photographing hoodies. Like the pose.

Yes, softer light or cloudy conditions work best for theis type of hard-to-expose-in-sunlight species. Also, if you are close enough you can expose for the whites and let the flash do its' work on the blacks. I like the sideswiped coif here. The pose itself looks like this guy was quite wary and about to bolt!
