This was shot back in July. It turns out that the C&T 315 was on some kind of special run. I just happened through Cumbres Pass a few hours before it came through. If you ever get through Chama, NM I highly recommend seeing the rail yard and trains that are there.

That is one good looking engine, Michael, I'd love to have been able to see it!

I wish that you could hear it. I had never been around an operating steam engine until then. They have so much character. It's hard to find words to describe what I mean... The yard is amazing. You can just walk around all over the place! You can't go into the maintenance shop but I'll bet that if you found the right person even that would be open. It's not even a 1/2 day trip from Bosque... but I'm not sure how late in the season they run.

Wonderful image, Michael. I'm wondering if you thought at all about making this look like an old photo at all? I think it would make an excellent faded out Sepia print!

Great photo Michael. I am partial to black and white for my train images but this one is nice.
I too love trains. I would like to see this in black and white as well. I didn't see anything other than period
clothing, if I looked close enough. In black and white it would look like you stepped back in time.
