Hoodies have always been one of my favorite ducks and I think the female is one of the better looking female birds that winter here. This was at a local pond this AM. I think these hoodies just flew in as I didn't see them yesterday.

Nicely composed and lovely colours. We have a male on this side of the Pond (UK). It must have got blown well off course to end up here! Pity we can't get him re-patriated.

Which camera and lens? You got it at a nice low angle. Like the colours. I would have given slightly more room at the bottom for the reflection.

Love this and the caption is right on. Wonderful low angle and superb lighting. What really makes this for me is the great water action that surrounds her and the excellent eye contact and detail. Congrats on a lovely image Joe.
