Brown Pelican Landing - S.W Florida

Have been busy, busy organizing my files as the year is about to end. This one is part of a sequence back from March from a very special place. You can see two frames later HERE (http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php?t=8927&highlight=IMG_5916).

Missed you all and hope you like it!

Thanks!

Cool incoming pose and light. I hope he didn't land on your head. :)

Cool incoming pose and light. I hope he didn't land on your head. :)

I have seen Pelican's land on other Pelican's back. Till date haven't seen someone landing on somebody's head. If Axel's wish comes true, then this might be the first time. You never know. Good Luck Maxis! :D

Lovely light. You got the eyes right. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,

Agree on the great pose. Great details and exposure. Got to find a way down there some time!

Lovely Maxis. Perfect light but the fluttering upper wing coverts are my favourite.

Super shot, Max. Great eye contact; good resolution and clarity. Like the bit of cloud in the BG. I hate flat blue skies, though I know it can't be helped at times. Great shot

It's the eye contact that does it for me in this image!
