American White Pelican
Southern,California

The other Pelican species that we have here in California during the winter. They are quite beautiful and when seen next to a Brown Pelican
you can see other body characteristics that are different between the two species other then colors. A shot I thought I would share here....

Wonderful pose and good exposure. I might de-saturate the legs a bit.

Beautiful James, I simply liked it a lot. Everything is good here.
I might take off some sheen from legs and beak.

Great shot Jim! That white is very good considering the brightness (almost too bright, almost IMO) of the light. I am looking into purchasing a D300 and was hoping that you could post some exif on this shot, ISO, SS, etc. Good work.

Excellent job, Jim. I really like the wing position but especially the feet and their reflections. Colours are great. Agree that reducing the reflections off the beak and legs may be good.

Thanks for Comments and advice on shot. After looking at it in a room without alot of light I could see it was a little bright....:)

I happen to prefer bleeding-edge whites as long as they're not blown, because that's what these birds look like. Beautiful specimen Jim! I like the position of the feet.
