Sitting in a hide out at a forrest you'lle have problems with the lack of light. Espacialy with such bizzy birds like these.

Olympus E3, Zuiko Ed300 f2.8, Zuiko 2.0 converter, 600mm focuslength, 1/500sec, F7.1, ISO200, -0.7stop.

I could not have been that dark at ISO 200, 1/500 sec. at 7.1. I like the pose, the BKGR, the sharpness, and the excellent exposure aas presented. I wish only for a bit more head turn and a less obtrusive perch. Such is life in the forest...

Well done to keep detail in the whites. I would probably burn in the perch a bit to make it less obtrusive. Good shot.

Good points made above but you have really caught a very good characteristic pose of this species showing that important identification feature, the white patch on the back of the neck. Considering how hyper active these birds are you did very well getting a very sharp image under those conditions.
