Ok - here's one for the wide angle Motif - sort of might qualify, heres what was done....

D200, Nikon 10.5MM Lens mounted on a Nodal Ninja Tripod head.
Exposure was avergaed across the scene and them set manullay manually.
Focus was set manually.

One shot was taken every 60 degree's and then One shot straight up and one shot straight done.
Loded into PTGUI and 360 x 180 % panorama was produced (some manull setting of control points was required)

Panorama image was then loaded into P.S.3 and Filter - Distort - Polar co-ordinates was applied.

End result.
Ohh yes - this is of course - Sydneys Favourite - Opera House with the Sydney Harbour bridge in the BG.

p.s. Everyone's Opera house shots are always the same - so I thought I would try something a little different.

Very special indeed ! I've been tilting my head left and right trying to find the best angle...to find the sea, the sky, and....of course the sky is all around it :)

you nailed different!!! i like it!! it would be cool rotated 180 degrees putting the skyline on top. oh wait. it's all skyline! ooops. way to go, lance. how long would it take a normal person to construct something like this is in PTGUI?

Hi Mr H - Not long really - as long as you have the equipment required - the pano tripod head makes things much easier - reduces parralax errors - which means PTGUI can stitch the images together with very little intervention thus reducing the time required.

say 1/2 - 1 hour/

Hi Lance:

WOW! What a shot, a winner all the way, beautiful colors, great placement of the subjects with a futuristic space like appearance.

Most certainly "out of the box".

Way to go!
