Hi to all :)

We have an invasion of snowy owl here in southern Quebec , Canada (http://maps.google.ca/maps/ms?f=q&hl=fr&t=h&ie=UTF8&lr=lang_en&msa=0&msid=107021843598614316035.00045a2c9790f83cc6f40) ! I think this will be a good season this year :cool: Can't wait to photograph my first !

Here's a picture taken last year. No crop , it's a full frame !

Full frlame!!! With a 400mm!!?? I envy you so much right now!!! Big congratulaitons! Exposure is perfect, centered works very well here and that look is so intense!! Congratualitons again!

Lucky you!!! I'm hoping to get out there this winter and photograph the snowies for the first time.

Quite the lovely lady. My only concern is with the shadowed eyes... The white with the blue is killer.

Thanks to all for your kind words :cool: I just realized that's my avatar :D

Arthur , I didn't have a flash at this time and I realy like the "eyelashes" shadow ... maybe I'd have lost them if I used a flash ?

If you click on the image , you'll reach a google maps where you can find the snowy owls in southern Quebec. Surely this map will be updated frequently.

Oh I would LOVE to photograph one of this guys! It is an amazing image and an amazing bird, congratulations.
