Here's an interesting issue I'm having.

When I select a brush or just about any tool, the actual brush stroke on my image is about 50% smaller than the cursor size.

I've tried all the settings under Preferences > Cursors and have had no luck.

I'll attach a couple examples.

The first is a © brush I made. Note how much smaller the result is than the cursor indicates.

Now this is a simple brush tool with hardness set to 100%

The ring on the outside is the cursor, and the dot is the resulting stroke.

I've checked, and my settings are all set to pixels rather than points, and changing between the two settings has no effect.

I'm stumped.

I've noticed that problem too, particularly with the clone stamp.

I can live with it for the painting brushes, but its a royal pain.

My single click brushes need to be accurately placed and sized though.

Glad I'm not the only one who has noticed this.

Are you guys on Win or Mac? Curious

I'm on Mac and have the same trouble on two different machines.

I'm on WinXP and have not seen this behavior. My brush sizes match the cursor exactly.

I'm using a Mac.

Hmmm, time to start asking other mac users if they have this issue....

I made a video of the trouble and sent it to Adobe as well as posted it for anyone else who may be able to offer a solution:
