One thing I love about the desert are those lonely desert roads with beautiful mountain backgrounds.
This is Artist's Drive which is a 9 mile loop off of Badwater Road in Badwater California in Death Valley National Park.
Shot early morning after my sunrise shots at Zabriskie Point.

Very nice image.. I like how the road leads your eye into the frame.. I might even have cropped a bit more off the bottom and giving the frame more of that glorious sky.... Seems just a bit dark on my monitor... Great capture..

Besides the cropping, I would have tried placing the camera low to the road and making it extend edge to edge with an expansive sky.
I like the composition and presentation (processing).

I agree with Robert about the (too) dark presentation, and with the compositional recommendations of...Robert :)

MIke, love the idea of the low angle given by Robert. You are going back around the West soon, aren't you?
