Great sharpness, exposure, and eye contact. Love the glassy water and the droplet too. I think the image would benefit from some CW rotation.

Love the still blue water and the sharpness. If you use the Ruler Tool and drag a line from eye to eye reflection or bill tip to bil tip reflection and then click Image/Rotate/Arbitrary it will tell you exactly how much CCW rotation you need.

That done, you need to go back and get this guy in full breeding plumage--the bird is a bit raggedy right now. All is all very well done.

Thank you both for the feedback! I knew about the ruler/arbitrary/rotate trick but I somehow missed that it needed a CW rotation. I need to prepare myself a checklist...

And yes, I'll follow this teal for the next few weeks and see the plumage change. Among several GWTs at this pond this one is actually the most advanced into the breeding plumage.
