Couldn't resist photographing the chickadees today. I had problems with the backgrounds on this one and i couldn't get the high speed flash to activate on my flash for some reason.

It looks kind of soft on my monitor and so I selectively sharpened the bird a bit and added a tad of brightness to the whole photo. Oh, tweaked the color balance a bit, too. I think the wing position is not bad. Not sure about the perch, but I'm thinking you may want to have more room on the left. I'm not sure about the background either. What is it, if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks for the input Desmond. The background is a redwood fence.

God bless,

I like it Chris! I think the extra sharpening Desmond did helped quite a bit.

Hi:

Super capture. I like Desmonds tweaks. IMHO, I think removing one plant would be nice.

Gus,
Thanks a bunch! You simplified the image into what really was important. The bird, the wings and the landing. It looks great. i really appreciate the help.

god bless,

Chris

Hi Chris Really sweet image !!! Wish it only had one seed perch rather than two Cropping like Gus did is an option Particularly like the wing position and overall feel !!! Big Congrats !!!

NIce feel to this image. Nice action and pleasing colors. I think the background and the bird work well together. I also think that one perch or a crop like Gus presented would enhance the image. It wouldn't be hard to take out the seed pod ( if that sort of thing is acceptable to you).

Thanks for sharing!

Phil

I like this image and the colours. I think a vertical crop would look nice with one of the thistles removed. Love the BG colour too.
