Hi Bill, I like this very much- If it were my photo I would probably bring the gate to the right of frame a little and exclude the pine tree- your eye would focus more on the aspens- but I like the overall scene. Great job

I agree with moving the gate a little to the right Denise, but how would you go about removing the pine? I can think of only a few techniques all pretty difficult. Help me out with what you had in mind.
Thank you for you suggestions and taking a look.

By moving the crop over it would take most(not all) of the pine out. The pine isn't ugly and doesn't need to be removed completely- it's just taking your eye from the gate and the aspens. That's only my opinion I'm sure you will get many more qualified opinions than mine!

I really like your image!! can you go back and take it again with lower light to deepen the colors?

I afraid the colors would be gone by now.

Great suggestions guys !!!

Amy you can use selective color and change the black and neutral channel Also increasing contrast a little will have an effect. The image is lovely as presented and has a great feel !!!

Is this what you had in mind, Dennise? I like your suggestion as it fits closer into rule of thirds :)
