Hi
Grey heron are usually a difficult bird to approach in the UK. Normally they take flight before you have got within a couple of hundred yards of them. The best place I know to get photographs of them is in the London where their constant exposure to people makes them very approachable, in fact to the point where you can get full frame head photos. This one obviously deep in thought :)
