Image made this past Sunday at Edwin B. Forsythe NWR in Brigantine, NJ.

Conditions chilly and VERY windy.

Canon 50D and 300mm f/2.8L IS lens w/ 2x TC; handheld out the car window. (Yes I know I need a BLUBB!! And a head turn!)

1/2500 sec at f/5.6; ISO 800; +1/3 EV; FL 600mm

Nice exposure, Ed. The water looks a not on the magenta side and it could use a CCW rotation.

Great find and eye contact. I agree regarding rotation and the color cast. The whites look good, though.

This has probably dropped so far down that no one will see it to respond but I have to ask the question. You both mention a CCW rotation. What are you basing that on? The ripples in the water? I leveled based on the bottom of the duck on water. If I level based on the ripples, the duck will be off, no?

I agree with the magenta overtones, but I think your alignment is correct based on the waterline of the bird.
