I caught this one just as it was jumping off the branch. It was taken on the Okavango river in Botswana.

What a COOL pose. Love the back of the bird. Great timing. Too bad the branch goes right through the bird... I'd be thrilled to have this in my files

I love this one. I think if you could crop the stick from which it was flying it would be amazing if not a true representation of what you saw.

Amazing pose and amazing sharpness. A small crop from above and below would tighten it up nicely. All in all, spectacular!

Great shot, Marietjie. Love the sharp eye. I would be tempted to soften the sharp patch on the perch so that the only sharp area is on the bird
