Finally made it over to photograph the new tennants in the Wetlands with my new Canon 50-D camera and like it quite well so far.
This was taken at f/9 1/640th of a sec ISO=400 a +0.3 exp bias and a 500-MM w/ 1.4 ext.

Thank you so much for all your comments and the visit, all greatly appreciated.

P.S. The shooting conditions are in a word ugly.

HI Bill,

Love the low angle and head turn but the image looks out of focus. The composition works for me very well. The horizon needs to be fixed as well.

Keep trying and keep them coming!

Nice low angle and pose.. I agree with Maxis that the bird looks soft, and the image would benefit from some CCW rotation. You are lucky to have such lovely subjects close by, and I'm lookihg forward to seeing more!
