I'm not used to seeing a Yellowlegs perch in this manner so I was pleased when it stayed put for a few minutes - allowing different angles and camera settings. For this image I liked how the shallow DOF worked in allowing us to follow the railing up to the subject. I do wish there was better sepeartion between bill and body, oh well!

Canon 40D + 100-400L @400mm, manual exposure, 1/250s., f/6.3, ISO 400, +0.3 EC (histogram checked), natural light, handheld

This is very unique Daniel. I would remove some of the noise!!

Nicely composed Daniel. I like the shallow depth of field; this works very well with the vertical crop...good show...:cool:
