Autumn is a great time to explore the Rio Chama Wilderness in New Mexico, with bright golden cottonwoods and red rock cliffs.

Hey David,
I was going to say 2 steps right.......to avoid the evergreen on the UL......but that may have put you into the drink. I reposted a few crop ideas for you to explore..........the most radical being the red one............ I think this would have been very effective as a vert with an extremely strong s curve. The green isn't my favorite....as I like the LL corner of land. Ideas to possibly explore next time out.
The cottonwoods against the red rocks are always very appealing to me.

Roman - Thanks for the suggestions on the crop. I made a similar one (http://www.davidcramer.com/blog/?cat=1)to the red crop, but I think I like yours more, as it moves the viewer even more toward the far cliffs and cottonwoods.
You are correct about falling into the drink, as I was hanging on the edge of a 6 foot embankment.

Beauatiful colors. I like the red crop the best. The little bit of pine on the green one doesn't work for me. David...I hope you are able to get out again -- this has been a beautiful fall.

Roman expressed my views on the image well.
A nice scene that would have been great standing in the water but that seems out of the question.
