Found a very cooperative Am. Bittern at Viera last week that was quite content to pursue its hunting while a whole bevy of photographers and birders watched from the banks. Quite unusual.

D2X, 200-400VR w/1.7TC @ 450mm, f/8 @ 1/160s, FF @ 1/2, iso 400

The image appears a bit oversharpened. I would like to see the feet, even if you back up enough to show the area
where the feet would appear . Notwithstanding the above, it's a nice shot of a difficult bird to capture.

Hi Rich, Glad you got him out in the open I know how difficult they can be Agree on backing down in sharpening Not sure how you went about it but best to sharpen at final output (for any application)

Crop wise agree with Larry Might just go tighter so the legs look cut on purpose rather than clipped !!!!

This is a very nice habitat image. The composition, details and colors works for me very well.

I really like the habitat. Lucky to get a cooperative one! I'd like to see either a tighter or a wider crop for the same afformentioned reasons.
