This rock holds commorants all the time but this is by far the best the foliage has ever been at the spot

The foliage looks stunning and the image has a painterly quality. Might work as 'out of the box', too.

The light and colours are just stunning!! I can imagine with a 600mm or more to get a full frame of than rock! As presented is very nice indeed although the bird get kind of lost in the frame. Congfratulaitons!

Gorgeous color and lighting and I agree this would make a beautiful painting. Many thanks for sharing John.

Hi John,

Wow, that works for me. I think I like the reflections more than the actual foliage :-)

The cormys can use a little USM.

Sweet colors! If there was any way to get higher so that the rock would be in the middle of the reflected orange glow, that might be even better, but this is nice as-is too.

The foliage has been excellent up here to this year (it's usually very good, but this year even more). I really like the autumn feel to this image. I think you can crop the right a bit to minimize the bigger blue patch in the water, and I also wish you were able to get higher so there was more "orange" between the the cormorants and the shore.
