This image is for those of us who love to rake. The approx. 100 yr old Black Walnut tree drops at least 3 weeks worth of leaf and nut collecting work each fall. The carpet of leaves is less than half of what will fall eventually.
I pushed the color of the leaves from the natural light yellow-green to the orange and added a blue gradient to the sky, and the usual kinds of adjustment in Lightroom 2.1.
Comments, suggestions and help with the raking is much appreciated. :D

Gail this is so spectacular. I love everything about it! The colors and the perspective are fantastic. I just got back from Banff NP It's sooo beautiful there. Are you near there?

Hi Denise
Thanks for the very kind words. The west kootenays are fairly close to Banff as the crow flies (maybe 250 miles) but about 400 miles SW as the car drives.

Gail,
A very fine image indeed, I like the wide angle capture and low perspective from the ground up, the tree is balanced and anchors at both top point in the frame. The color rendition is dead on and the details are superb...a big congrats...Like this very much...

Excellent angle Gail, I think this is what gives the image the impact that it has.
Congrats,

Thanks to all for your generous comments. I did notice that no one has volunteer to join the raking. Don't be bashful (smaile)
Thanks again

Thanks again. I much appreciate your supportive comments. Somehow I seemed to have lucked out on this image. This creating an image process seems quite mysterious at times.
