Although there were no hotspots in PS on my monitor, it looks like there are here. In addition to the harsh lighting, are there any other reasons reason this image did not turn out better?

Excellent capture Cheryl...very well composed with good exposure, sharp details and good color rendition...good show...:cool:

I agree with Gus, nice composure and sharp. I am certainly not an expert but I do not see any obviously faults other than the hash light which you mentioned. Well done!!! Thanks for sharing.

Hi Cheryl, just did a curves adjustment and adjusted the black and white points. I think this gives it a bit more contrast. Great shot.

Yes, Jackie! that is much better! Now is there a way to do that without pushing the whites to overexpose?

Yes you could go back in and do a linear burn, or the reverse select the bird via quick mask (without the highlights) and do a white and black pt adjustment.

Hi Cheryl Agree with comments Other than softer light I think the wing on the full up position would have helped some !!! Very good image !!!
