The time spent under my special shorebird hide was not the most pleasant time in my life :D as the dark mud was quite smelly. Anyway it was worth to lay on my belly for hours to get this buddy.
Hopefully this spring I can catch them in full breeding plumage while displaying.

Any comments are more than welcomed.

Excellent image, Szimi. I like the angle, details and calm water, well worth enduring the odor. :) Could you post some techs?

Excellent photograph, very clean. The low angle is nice, and I like the eye contact.

Beautifully done, Szimi. For my taste, I would back a tiny weeny bit in the sharpening.

Worth your time in the hide by all means :)

Love the bird's posture, the sharpness, the BKGR, and the the perfect head angle. Good job too of not ruining it in Photoshop by oversharpening or oversaturating as many folks do <smile> Good luck with the breeding plumage males this spring...

later and love, artie

Lovely 'clean' image, like the low angle and posture of the bird here. What support do you use for these low-angle images (when laying down)?

Actually a self made camouflaged hide with the height of 25.59 inch (65 cm) and 39,37 inch (100 cm) front length. The closest bird was 3 meters from me and didn't care of the noises I made (eg. coughing).

Absolutely perfect!! A beautiful image and clearly well worth the discomfort in capturing it.

Beautiful work Szimi.
Really shows the value of getting down to bird level.
My congratulations.
