The light was fading quickly as I found this Black-bellied Plover at Ft. Desoto on Saturday evening. I did my best to create a few images in the dying light. Ft. Desoto was very productive last Saturday evening. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the BPN GTG this weekend. If anyone is interested in getting down and dirty this weekend, stay close to me ;) I'll mainly being photographing without a tripod, laying on my stomach.

Don't tell my dad, but this image was made with lens foot in the mud, no slider. I was working from a tripod that evening, and when I'm at Ft. Desoto I travel very light, so to get the perspective I wanted the foot had to get in there.

Shooting Solution
Nikon D300 | Sigma 500mm f/4.5 | Lens foot in the mud
Manual Exposure | 1/500th @ f/4.5 | ISO 800 | Full frame

Thanks for looking ;)

Much love,

Love the colors, low angle. I would clone out that grass/twig? on the left coming out of the water

Very sweet light, I don't mind not seeing the feet, price to pay for low angles :)

Good to see you posting, your work is always a treat.
