Wood Duck with fall colours reflected in water

400' f7.1 400iso 400mm

Once again, I like the background colour although others may find it a bit much.
I thought it could have been exposed a bit better to take the brights down a bit but leave the details in the darks, but I'm not sure what exactly to do differently.
(And it's cropped a little tight for posting here.)

I like the light, fall colors and details. It needs some CCW rotation and I might crop a bit off the top. Please post the complete EXIF info including EC and camera type. Keep them coming.

Thanks Axel -

+1/3, no flash, Canon XTi, 100-400mm. Probably should have gone with -1/3 ?

The whites look good on my monitor but you are right, it's easy to overexpose them when photographing wood ducks.

Just gorgeous color everywhere in this image! That water is luscious! Good exposure control and sharp detail. CCW rotation mentioned. Beautiful image!

Very colorful, as noted above. I would agree with Axel about cropping from the top as this would leave all the brightest colored areas intact and would strengthen the image, IMO. The whites, especially on the bill, look a little hot on my monitor.
