This was taken yesterday. It is the first time that the least grebe has been seen in Florida for close to twenty five years and the first time that it has had a nest and hatchlings that we know of. There are two babies born a day apart and they are three and four days old now. A great experience to see this family. They stay very close to shore so it is difficult to get clear images of the parents and babies. Hope you enjoy.

Judy: How exciting about the return of the Least Grebe. Really nice capture. I like the detail in the fluff on the tail. Everything is great about it. Why is the reflection such a different color than the bird?
