Julie -- there's nothing like flattering window light...
Alfred -- it's a wonderful breed; affectionate, intelligent, and active. The wild cougar-like look of the ruddy (color) abyssinian is why they're often called 'couch cougars.'
Anita -- I totally agree with you! Felines are so enigmatic and make great portrait subjects. The coloration of the fur on the Aby is courtesy of the agouti, or ticked, hair shaft which is banded with three or four different colors (like a bunny).

A fine looking feline. Interesting that you mentioned "couch cougars"......certainly what I thought. I just love cats.....or rather they love me. I'm blessed to have had 3 adopt me.....ok....so sucker is written on my forehead. Glad to see more cats!!!
