Classic posture, whites well controlled, I like the suggestion of habitat in the background. Awesome bird and image! Could perhaps be a tad sharper (?)

Just as I remeber it....

Nicely had whites and beautiful light. As a personal preference I would give him a tad more room to the left to move into. Nicely done.

Dave, I heard from Ted and Gary that it was a wonderful day. I wish that I could have seen what you've captured so well.

Great shot David... These birds never seem to make it far enough south to my side of the lake... so I might have to travel up north a bit to get these guys! Looks a little soft for this presentation, but i'm asuming its due to making the image smaller for web (just not enough pixels to show a lot of detail in some places)

This makes me so envious. I've never seen this species and would love to photograph it. Well done, great pose, light and BG.

This is a great image. great lighting and pose. Looks like he is eyeballing you. I'm even more impressed that you did this hand held with a 500mm F/4.
