Taken last summer on a camoing trip to Balsam Lake PP, a pair of these beauties went flying through the campground in a family quarrel... it was a blast to watch! Maybe I should have cloned out the leaves in the bg?

I like those leaves, I would keep them, what I would've liked is more room to the left, but other than that, I love this sgot! Congratulations!

Maybe just tone down the BG a bit. Great image otherwise.

Great pose, exposure control and details. Another vote for more room at the left. I'm not sure but some of the bright spots in the BG look like clone marks. I'm undecided about the OOF leaves.

As usual great work by the gang above. I would lose the leaves. For woodpecker compostions, 1/3 tree, 1/3 bird, and 1/3 BKGR usually works great. You could have achieved that by pointing the lens to the left... I love the bird and the head position but would lose the leaves in a hurry (with Quick Masking...)
