Surfer Girl-Merganser Hen

I made this image of a little Red-Breasted Merganser hen with a crooked beak riding a tidal outlet from a culvert running under a road. I left the crop wide to the right to catch the effect of the wave.

Excellent shot. The whitecap wave does tend to pull the eye a little.

Excellent composition and posed at such a great angle. I don't think the surf is distracting. The crooked beak lends an interesting enhancement. A favourite.

Very dynamic image and the open bill adds to it. I also like the details, composition and eye contact. I find the OOF droplets that block part of the plumage a bit distracting.

Excellent image. I love the waves and the wide crop. The low angle is great. You might consider cloning out the OOF water droplets. Good job!!
