Well we really haven't had any sunny mornings to speak of in awhile so I
figured I would get out the flash for fill light.
Nikon D300 80 400 f4.5 5.6
SB800 FF set at -2.
1/800 F5.6 ISO 500

I'm sorry I didn't make note of that in techs Better Beamer was used. Thanks Harold;)

Nice low perspective and I like the typical pose of the bird getting ready to investigate the vegetation along the beach. Good use of filash, but I might brighten the entire image a little more in PS. Nice capture.

Hi Jim! In addition to the above, I might apply some CW rotation to the image. How are things in So Cal?

I agree the image could go brighter. And to me the white balance could be warmer as well.

i also agree about the brightness and rotation.. but i love habitat shots and this is really nice. it almost looks like it has made a nest on the beach :)
