That is one cute bird! Bg is great, colors are very nice and Light is good, it feel a bit tight and the perch looks kind of unnatural, still is a great shot full of details! COngratulatons!

I'd love to see this species some day - I guess I am too used to the Black-capped ones :-) Not the best perch, or head angle. Also looks oversharpened in some areas. I like the BG, and the control of the whites looks good.

Lovely little bird, good details and great colors, but the perch kind of degrades this image IMO.

It's a lovely chickadee but I agree with the others about the perch. The perch is up front, OOF and has noise which detracts from the bird. I like the detail on the bird....perhaps just a tad oversharpened. I think in this case that if the bird were smaller in the frame you could also add some room in front of the bird and get it out of the center. You have some nice birds to photograph.....just need some different perches.

Too tight in the frame! needs more room all the way around. How did you get the catchlight?

The image was taken in sunshine with some fill flash (flash on the camera). that may account for the catch lite.

Hi Arsdel,

Interesting and amazing how there is only evidence of flash in the eye and not everywhere else.

Thanks!

A beautiful shot alittle eye contact would of put this over the top the details are excellent and that bg is gorgeous. I might consider taking some off the top.
