I cloned out a second catch light in the BJ's eye, I assume it's from the flash gun?

I would have loved some more details in the head. The breast and neck feathers was perhaps the point of focus and the head turn requires more dof than f6.3 would permit. Thanks for sharing.

Nice head angle and you are correct that the second catchlight came from the flash. For this image, a few steps back would have given the bird more room in the frame - The toenail is cut off on the bottom. Sabyasachi gave you good advice. Always try to put the sensor on the birds eye when possible.

I like the exposure, but agree with the others about the point of focus and the tightness of the frame. Thanks for posting!

This image suffers from several aspect. The tail is cut, there is a red eye, the composition is not ideal and the flash looks over flashed, not to mention I wish I could see more room all around.
