Ahhh Miss Munroe!
This photo taken in May represents just how suductive these little owls can be when they want. Just kidding; I think he/she was about to go to sleep! It would have help if I had my flash with me, what a lesson! In any case good, bad or indifferent I kind of like the "look" not what you typically see with these owls. All comments and suggestions welcomed and thank you for even looking!

The use of flash would've helped very much, sepacially for the side light that is creating to much shadow, I would've also used a higher aperture so to get better DOF to get his/her body in focus too, still, the "look" is great! Congratulations!

The look is really priceless . Love those eyelashes! As you pointed out, flash would have greatly improved the shadows in this image. We've all done it.....been without a piece of equipment we needed! Ramon made a good point: with a speed of 1/5000 sec. you could have chosen a smaller aperture to get more dof and sharpness in the plumage, A really cute portrait.
