This image is also made in Iceland.
It is an oystercatcher which is often seen in Iceland, but mostly sitting and walking on the ground. I was only once lucky and while I watched a family with a young chick, walking near the road, the male (I think it was the male) perched on that fence.
Background was nice and I am happy to capture that moment.

You sure got a lot of nice birds on fence posts in Iceland. I don't think I've ever seen an Oystercatcher on a fence post before. I would be very happy with this one as well. A bit of a head turn would have been nice. Well done.

Thank you Lana for your comment.
You are always busy in looking at the images! Thank you so much for your attention!

As I had two slightly different images I postet the wrong one.... Here is the one with a nice head turn. Hope you like it better?

Hi Rosl,

This is very unique, we don't see them like that here in FL. You did well with the exposure and composition. I love it!!

Oyster-catcher on the fence post. Talk about out of the norm! And well captured to boot. Excellent contrast. I love the quizzical look on the face.
